St. Conrad of Parzham (1818-1894)

He was born in Parzham, Germany from farmer parents in 1818. After an exemplary youth, he joined the Order of Minor Capuchin Brothers, where he professed in 1842. For forty-three years he served as doorman of the Altötting Bavaria, celebrated Marian sanctuary providing example of prayer, active charity and patience. He died in 1894 and was canonized by Pio XI in 1934.
