JPIC stands for “Justice, Peace and Integrity of the Creation”. In the heart of the Order of the Minor Capuchin Brothers, this term is used to refer to the evangelical concern for the social, economic, ecologic, among other things.

From our Holy Gospel way of life, we are called to respond to the clamor of those who suffer the most; concerning ourselves for the most distant, poor and oppressed. Also, as Franciscan Capuchins, we want to see the poor, the leper, the distant, our dear brother and all of God’s creatures as our sisters.

JPIC is a reminder of the voice of those who are not heard, and that we want to keep vigil for those that suffer injustice, work for peace as sons of God, take care of our world and our brothers from unjust exploitation due to economic powers.
