The Holy Father Francisco announced on October 15, 2017, the holding of the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme: Amazon, new paths for the Church and for an integral ecology, which will take place in October 2019. The new ways of evangelization are thought for the People of God who live in that region.
Although the subject refers to a specific territory, such as the Pan-Amazonian, the reflections that concern it go beyond the regional scope because it reaches the whole Church and also the future of the planet. For this reason, the Capuchin Minor Brothers of the Custody Mexico and Texas will dedicate our next Custodial Assembly 2019 to the theme of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC); which will be carried out in Lago de Guadalupe, Cuautitlán Izcalli, from January 28 to February 1 of the current year.
May this ecclesial, civic and ecological project allows us to extend our vision beyond the respective borders and redefine the pastoral lines, adapting them to today’s times.
In the loving hands of the Creator Father arose the human being and all creation. We praise it when we love our neighbor and when we take care of our common House.
