With immense joy, we celebrate, with the act of Solemn Profession, the gift of life and vocation of our brothers Juan Pérez and Roberto García.

Peace and good
As a Franciscan Order we are happy to be able to celebrate 300 years of two magnificent events in the life of Saint Francis. Events that show us the depth of his spirituality and that marked an important milestone in the history of the Church.
It is an opportunity for all of us to foster our ecological conversion by listening and responding together to the cry of creation. This time will take place throughout the Church from September 1 to October 4. A time that begins on the "World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation" and closes on the Day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of ecology. This year's theme is "Listening to the Voice of Creation".
On the 28th of this month at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the fraternity of St. Anthony of Padua we celebrated the Eucharist to give thanks for the gift of life and vocation. In it, with a simple rite where the young men ask for the entrance to the postulancy and later they are given the Bible and the tau, the postulancy began for the six new brothers.
Twenty-five years ago, in 1997, the Capuchin friars arrived on August 11 in La Piedad, Mich. where the fraternity of St. Anthony of Padua was canonically erected as the Novitiate of the then Delegation. The decision to come to this place was a greater possibility of apostolate and formation. Besides being a place relatively close to the fraternity of Guadalajara.
Under the motto "He who remains in me and I in him that one bears much fruit", Brother Jesús Arguelles Canul has received in the hands of Bishop Pedro Pablo Elizondo Cárdenas, Bishop of the Diocese of Cancún-Chetumal the priestly ordination. Accompanied by family and friends, the fraternity of Isla Mujeres has been the venue for this celebration in which in an atmosphere of fraternity, closeness, affection, and folklore we have been able to live the Eucharist and then share food to the rhythm of the jarana, typical music of these places.
Last May, we experienced an important moment in the life and animation of the Order in the Americas. After a long period of preparation, all the ministers were finally able to come together and meet in São Pedro, São Paulo, Brazil, with most of the General Council present.
On July 3, 2022 in Ocotepeque, Honduras, the common novitiate of Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico began. 12 candidates began the novitiate with a simple ceremony where they took the Capuchin habit as a sign of the path they wish to embrace.
Dear Brothers, May the Lord give you peace!
These days, the media around the world are constantly reporting the tragic event of the war against Ukraine. What we see transpiring in this neighboring country is an act of violence that we would hope never to see happen, because it brings about nothing but great pain: people dying, structures being destroyed, families being left homeless, society as a whole experiencing fear and bewilderment, while supplanting in people’s hearts uncertainty and despair in the place of peace.
