"And the Lord gave me brothers ..." This expression of Francis of Assisi, today reflects very well the experience of beginning the postulancy with the seven young people from different parts of the republic who have decided to say yes to God, after a year of discernment vocational; and that they have been welcomed with joy in the fraternity of La Piedad, Michoacán.
Today, August 11, the feast of St. Clare of Assisi, the City of Irapuato has been the meeting place to carry out the priestly ordination of Brother Néstor Wer, by laying on of hands of Monsignor Enrique Díaz Díaz, bishop of the diocese.
On August 11, we celebrated Santa Clara de Asís, who, in the bosom of a noble family, was born in 1913. In the spring of 1211, moved by the Spirit and enlightened by the preaching of Francis, he left everything to follow Jesus. On Palm Sunday, under cover of the night, Clara escaped from her father's house and went to Santa María de la Porciúncula, where Francisco received her and consecrated her to the Lord. Shortly after it was established in the convent of San Damiano, restored by Francisco.
As every year, the Capuchin Minor Friars of the different fraternity of the Custody of Mexico and Texas, we have gathered together to carry out our Annual Spiritual Exercises.
The next year will be the 400th anniversary of the death of St. Lawrence of Brindisi, and the General Minister Brother Mauro Jöhri summoned all the brothers of the order on July 24th: that from July 21, 2018 to 21 July 2019 is celebrated a year in his honor and therefore, he has written the letter of convocation.

The Fraternity of the Postulancy, in La Piedad, Michoacán; it has been the meeting place for young people from different parts of the country to come together to give an answer to God, after a year of accompaniment and vocational discernment.
On July 5, the beginning of the common novitiate of the Custodies of Mexico and Texas and of North of Mexico took place. The formation community of Tres Ojitos, Chihuahua welcomes this community composed of four brothers from both circumscriptions who will accompany the novices.
As every year we met Capuchin brothers of the two custodians of Mexico, to reflect on the writings of St. Francis of Assisi. The House of Prayer of Padre Pio, located in Puebla, has been the ideal space for this meeting, held on June 22-29.
Gathered in fraternity the Franciscan Family of Mexico met from June 18 to 20 in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco. In a meeting in which all the obedience of the Franciscan Order, the Franciscan Sisters of Jesus Crucified, the Franciscan Missionaries of Guadalupe, the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception and the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Peace, participated with enthusiasm and joy.
