In an atmosphere of deep gratitude, joy and evangelical simplicity, the community of La Piedad opened its doors and its heart to celebrate a very special milestone: the XXV years of Consecrated Life of our dear brother Tomás, OFMCap.
This celebration was not an isolated event, but it was interwoven in a providential way with great events that mark our identity and historical memory:
- The 498 years of the Capuchin Reformation:Remembering our origins of renewal and return to the sources of the Gospel.
- The feast of Saint Thomas: EThe perfect liturgical framework to celebrate the name and sponsorship of the celebrated.
- The VIII Centenary of the Easter of St. Francis: Walking with his gaze fixed on the transit of our Seraphic Father to the heavens.
A Franciscan-style celebration: Meaningful and simple
Faithful to the charisma that St. Francis bequeathed to us, the Eucharist and subsequent fraternal sharing were characterized by a deep simplicity. The Capuchin Younger Brothers gathered to surround Brother Thomas, testifying that community life is the space where the grace of God becomes visible.
La Piedad, Michoacán, was the ideal setting where the warmth of the people and the beauty of the local faith joined our song of praise for these 25 years of dedication, service and testimony.
“Be praised, my Lord, for the faithfulness of your servants.” This anniversary is a reminder to all of us that God’s call is a daily path of grace and renewal.

Dear Brother Tomás: The entire Capuchin fraternity and the community that accompanies you are united in a single prayer for you. We ask the Good Lord to continue to bless your life abundantly, to preserve the freshness of your surrender and that St. Francis and the Virgin Mary continue to guide your steps on this path of minority.
May the Lord give you peace and grant you many more years of blessed ministry!
