And after the Lord gave me brothers, no one taught me
what should I do, but the Most High himself revealed to me
that I should live according to the form of the holy Gospel.
As every year, the Capuchin Friars Minor of the Custody of Mexico and Texas have gathered from the different presences of our constituency to discuss the fundamental issues of our custody.
For this year the central theme has been the “Ratio Formationis”, an essential document for the present course of our Order, which aims to strengthen, throughout the entire formative process, our only charismatic identity; that is, the values shared and accepted by all, which in turn are embodied in different cultural contexts.
Guided by our brother Jaime Rey OFMCap, Secretary General of the formation of the Order, we were able to reflect during the first days on the meaning, content and importance of entering the incorporation of the Ratio Formationis in the formative itineraries of our custody and in the strengthening of our charismatic identity from the values we have assumed by our consecration.
The last days we have dedicated to know the walk of our Custodial Project of each of the fraternities in relation to the topics: JPIC (Justice, peace and integrity of creation), Social Work and Protection of minors and vulnerable adults.
In a climate of prayer, fraternal sharing and joyful encounter we have been able to conclude with a manifesto that has wanted to synthesize the work of these days, asking God to continue illuminating through the intercession of Saint Mary of Guadalupe our path of younger brothers in Mexican lands.
