Bl. Benito of Urbino (1560-1625)

Born in Urbino in 1560. Held degrees in Philosophy and Law, he joined the Minor Capuchin Brothers at the age of 23 distinguishing himself for his austerity of life, prayer spirit and poverty. Dedicated himself with ardor and simplicity to preaching. Died in Fossombrone on April 30, 1625. Was made blessed by Pio IX in 1867. His body is venerated in the church of the Minor Capuchin Brothers in Fossombrone.
