Mark was born in Aviano (Pordenone), Italy in 1631. At the age of 16, he joined the Minor Capuchin Brothers and at 24 was ordained priest. He devoted 17 years to a hidden life in the practice of humility, he was called by obedience to a ministry of preaching. Worn out by his numerous trips and the exhaustion of the apostolate, he died in Vienna on August 13, 1699. John Paul II proclaimed him as blessed on April 27, 2003.
